World Wars secrets revealed at Scapa Flow as Spitfire and warship found in underwater graveyard


Divers explore the wrecks within the depths of Scapa Flow
 
 
A SUNKEN Spitfire and a lost warship are among the latest ghostly secrets given up by Scapa Flow.
A massive survey of the underwater graveyard off Orkney has found new wrecks leading experts to dub the entire area “a historical treasure chest” of the two world wars.

The Spitfire, first spotted by local scallop divers, is the star discovery and the team who carried out the latest survey say there could be more secrets hidden in the depths.
