6 Colossus of Rhodes
Compared to the Modern Wonders, the ancient ones are really not that special from our view! This wonder was a 30 meter statue celebrating a victory over Cyprus. We must say however, It was built to celebrate a victory of Cyprus.
It was one of the largest man made statues in the world. It lived for approximately 900 years and was destroyed by an earthquake.
