Most gardeners, nowadays, are working people with limited time to spend nurturing their gardens. I have more time to devote to my garden than many others because I am fully retired. I always dislike leaving the garden, especially from spring to late fall. It's a similar feeling to having to leave your children with babysitters.
Last week I had to make a trip to Washington, D.C. While everyone flocked to the tidal basin area to see the cherry blossoms; I was excited to discover the red bud trees along some main streets and right in the courtyard of the place where I stayed, atLogan Circle. I have never seen buds or blossoms right on the tree trunks before.
