Today we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the title given to the Blessed Virgin Mary in her role as patroness of the Carmelite Order. We ask for her intercession and those of all the Carmelite saints including St Teresa of Avila, St John of the Cross, St Therese of Lisieux, St Simon Stock, and St Teresa Benedicta of the Cross.
