Clonakilla Shiraz Viognier 2012

"If anyone is thirsty, let them come to Me and drink--Clonakilla Syrah Viognier." www.clonakilla.com.auAustralia is a BIG island, and it’s a long way between Murrumbateman, Canberra (where Clonakilla vineyards are located) and Frankland River, Western Australia (another budding cool-climate shiraz region) or 3685km to be exact.

It’s a long drive, but you could stop off along the way in the Barossa Valley (world renown for full-bodied-blooded shiraz) and the Adelaide Hills (you’d have to call in at Shaw & Smith in the who make seriously good, cool-climate elegant shiraz), about 1121km from Canberra. You can be assured you will experience all four seasons along the way, and yet most people perceive Australia as warm (hot) and sunny everywhere, all the time.
